It also organised workshops to train girls on handicrafts, aiming to enhance their skills for their personal and societal benefit. QC had previously organised training and educational programmes remotely within the ‘Noon’ platform, in which some 74 students, including five with special needs, were enrolled to learn about the correct recitation of the Holy Qur’an and the phonetic rules of Arabic. The course comes within the framework of Qatar Charity’s keenness to provide a suitable environment for young people and students to learn and improve their level of knowledge and meet the cultural, educational and social needs of society, the statement points out.
Qualified instructors will teach the students remotely during the three-month course.
The Qatar Charity department of Centres for Community Development has said registration is still on for the course, which is offered every Monday and Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm. The course, launched with the participation of 20 male and female students, aims to teach them the Holy Qur’an and the phonetic rules of Qur’anic recitation in addition to improving their level of reading and writing in Arabic, QC has said in a statement. Qatar Charity (QC)’s department of Centres for Community Development has launched the ‘Al-Qaida Al-Noorania’ course as part of the programmes of its ‘Noon’ platform, which is concerned with remotely teaching and training.
